Complete Cosmetology - 1200 Hours

Although the primary focus of the cosmetology program is hair care, this comprehensive course includes the majority of salon services. The curriculum includes: Hair Cutting, Sanitation, Law, Salesmanship, Management, Manicuring, Pedicures, Hair Removal, Anatomy & Physiology, Skin, Hair, Electricity, Chemistry, Shampooing, Scalp Treatment, Facial & Make-Up, Hair Coloring, Permanent Waving, and Hair relaxing.

Students must have a high school diploma, GED or ATB test. Students must enroll one week prior to their start date. Orientation is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday prior to your start date. Students must attend Saturdays unless they have proof of a prior work commitment.

A class starts the first Tuesday of every month

For part-time night students:
A class starts the first Monday night of every month

Class Schedules: Daytime @ 32 Hours per week
Takes 40 weeks or 10 months to complete
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Class Schedules: Early Evening @ 26 Hours per week
Takes 48 Weeks or 11.5 months to complete
Monday through Thursday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday: Off
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Class Schedules: Part-Time Evening @ 22.00 Hours per week
Takes 55 Weeks or 13.5 months to complete
Monday through Thursday: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday: Off
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Grading Procedure: Students will have written oral, and performance exams. Exams will be given after each unit of study to assess the student’s knowledge in theory. Practical and Clinical work will be graded based on the services performed. Each student will be required to pass an exit exam before graduating.

Theory Work & Practical Work will be graded according to the following scale:
A = 95-100 Excellent
B = 85-94 Good
C= 75-84 Satisfactory
D= 70-74 Unsatisfactory
F= 0-59 Failing
